Tower Hamlets

Don’t just read about it, be part of it. Keep me updated

My plan to make Tower Hamlets safer, fairer and more affordable

  1. Cut antisocial behaviour, knife crime and drug use. With 8,000 more police for London, more night-time patrols and more investment in youth services to get young people out of gangs and into work.
  2. Reopen Brick Lane police station. So residents can always speak to police when they need to.
  3. Scrap the ULEZ extension and reverse the congestion charge hike. On day one, I’ll scrap Sadiq Khan’s plans to extend ULEZ to Tower Hamlets. So residents don’t have to pay £15 just to drive to work. And I’ll reverse Sadiq Khan’s congestion charge hike.
  4. Affordable homes for residents. I’ll work with developers to build family homes that residents can actually afford — with the schools, shops and hospitals needed to support new homes.
  5. Get Crossrail back on track. So residents have a transport network fit for the city we live in.

Meet your local Conservative Candidate for the Greater London Assembly of City and East

Your candidate for the GLA: Nick Vandyke

Introduction:  The entire boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Newham, Tower Hamlets and the City of London are combined to create one constituency on the London Assembly. It is represented by one assembly member whose role it is to examine the Mayor’s actions and decisions and stand up for the residents they represent in City Hall. Nick Vandyke is the Conservative Candidate to represent City and East in the GLA elections, which will now be held next May 2021 at the same time as the Mayoral election.

A bit about Nick: Born in Tower Hamlets, Nick is now a Station Supervisor for TfL.

So he knows that City Hall is failing to live up to its responsibilities. TfL is in financial chaos. Crime is out of control. And families are being priced out of our city.

That’s why Nick is standing to represent City and East in the GLA.

Nick will work with residents to cut crime, restore order to TfL’s finances, and get developers building homes that ordinary Londoners can actually afford.
