My plan to make Hackney safer, fairer and more affordable
Cut knife and gang crime. With 8,000 more police for London and more investment in youth services to get young people out of gangs and into work.
Reopen Shoreditch police station. So residents can always speak to police when they need to.
No LTNs without approval. LTNs were forced on London without residents ever getting a say. I’ll suspend LTNs — and only introduce them if a clear majority of residents support it.
Meet your local Conservative Candidate for the Greater London Assembly of North East
Your candidate for the GLA: Emma Best
Introduction: The entire boroughs of Hackney, Islington and Waltham Forest are combined to create one constituency on the London Assembly. It is represented by one assembly member whose role it is to examine the Mayor’s actions and decisions and stand up for the residents they represent in City Hall. Emma Best is the Conservative Candidate to represent North East in the GLA elections, which will now be held next May 2021 at the same time as the Mayoral election.
A bit about Emma: Born and raised in North East London, Emma has spent her life working to improve London for every resident in every community.
She is a school governor, works in family services to help vulnerable children, and does it all while being a councillor in Waltham Forest.
Emma knows that crime is too high and our young people don’t have enough opportunities. That’s why she’s standing to represent North East London in the GLA.
She’ll work with every resident in every community to cut crime, create jobs and deliver a cleaner environment.
I was born to a single mum on a council estate. I’ve been homeless and out of work. But I turned my life around. And I spent twenty years as a youth worker helping young people do the same.
Chip in for a safer, fairer and more affordable London
